Nick Donaldson (Non-executive Chairman)
Nick is a barrister by profession, and was until recently head of corporate finance at Arbuthnot Securities Limited. He has spent the majority of his career to date in investment banking, and has previously held senior positions at Robert W Baird Limited and at Credit Lyonnais Securities. He is a non-executive director of Games Workshop Group plc and of The Clapham House Group plc.
Tim Gatland, Chief Executive
Tim is an experienced software professional, with more than 20 years in a variety of development roles. In addition to running a medium-sized software development company, Tim has advised various venture capital firms on investments in software companies, including several games companies. Between 2000 and 2002, Tim was the operational manager for VIS Entertainment plc, a large game developer in the UK and creator of the commercially successful State of Emergency title.
Jon Oldham, Development Director
Jon is a veteran of the games industry, he initially worked as a project manager at MicroProse before moving on to Ocean Software and then Infogrammes, where he became Vice President of Development. Since July 1998, Jon has acted as a freelance producer, managing projects on behalf of a number of Publishers. He has been involved in the development of approximately 100 titles for a large range of platforms and is a (part time) development director of the highly respected games company Team17. Until its recent takeover by Warthog plc, Jon was also commercial director of Manchester-based game studio Zed Two Limited, a respected Developer of both original and licensed product.
Charles McMicking, Director
Charles is a Director of Noble Fund Managers (part of Noble and Company) and is responsible for advising Enterprise Venture Capital Trust plc.
Charles has reviewed the investment potential of the games sector for over five years, and was instrumental in establishing Fund4games.
He is responsible for ensuring the viability of potential publishers and subcontracted developers.
Joe Philipsz, Director
Joe joined Noble and Company in 1991 following three years working in the North American Venture Capital sector.
At Noble and Company he heads up the Technology corporate finance sector where he has extensive experience of advising client companies from early stage funding rounds through to IPO and exit.
He has a strong understanding of the software and electronics sectors.
