F4G Software and Scottish Enterprise Announce Funding Alliance for Computer GamesProject will contribute to the next phase of Scottish gaming innovation Los Angeles (e3) – May 12, 2004 – F4G Software PLC and Scottish Enterprise today announced that they have reached heads of terms on the Digital Media and Creative Industries Project Fund (DMPF). Upon completion, the DMPF will co-invest with F4G to provide additional funds for Scottish-based gaming projects, continuing on the success of titles such as Grand Theft Auto, State of Emergency and Lemmings. "The DMPF will enhance F4G’s ability to direct its unique project management and finance model directly at the Scottish market," said Tim Gatland, Chief Executive Officer at F4G. "Scotland's games industry has some of the best talent in the industry, and we are pleased to work with the DPMF in developing innovative finance models within Scotland." F4G provides a new model of finance for game developers and publishers, reducing the development risk for publishers while providing security of payment for games developers. F4G does this by serving as both a project manager for the game’s completion and financing the development of the game. F4G acts independent of end-market response, allowing developers a continuous flow of necessary financing. "Scotland's gaming talent continues to lead the 'best-of' and 'most-popular' games lists," said David Reilly, Director of Creative Industries at Scottish Enterprise. "Scottish Enterprise is committed to ensuring that these accomplishments continue, and we plan to do this by funding innovative games companies." ENDS. Notes To Editors: About F4G:
